Who We Are - Putts for Mutts

Putts for Mutts was born from Hackers for Heroes.  With Hackers, our wish is to ensure that our Veterans receive the extra care that they deserve.  Now, with Putts for Mutts, we’re taking that a step further, hoping (with your help!) to ensure that their also-deserving fur-babies receive proper care in their absences, whether due to deployments, or for recovering from the physical and emotional wounds of war.  

And so…we’re holding a golf outing for them, with 100% of the funds raised to benefit PACT for Animals (see below), an organization that’s established to provide these very things!  We believe it's important to keep "families" together, while their owners are deployed, or their owners need a little extra time to heal. 

PACT for Animals provides free foster care for the pets of military personnel and veterans during deployments, training, or to received medical or mental health care.  Our nationwide network of foster families provides love and care for dogs, cats, and other pets, so their owners can serve our country knowing that their best friends are happy and healthy.  Our services range from short term care of 2 months up to 2 years, and the owners simply provide the food, supplies, and pay veterinary care for their companion animals as they normally would.  Our mission is to ensure that no one who serves or has served our country ever has to surrender a pet in order to deploy or recover from the physical and emotional wounds of war.
